MINUTES OF MEETING.
The meeting started at 1:10 with introduction, we all got to know ourselves and what we do. Joy asked if there were any challenges regarding our courses as the deadline for completion is fast approaching. There was no challenge as we all had completed the courses and had been graded. She also stressed the need to carry out projects as ACFellows 2018, as it’s was important to make impact from all we learnt for 5 weeks.
Olise Dumbo suggested the best way to make impacts is to empower vulnerable women with entrepreneurial skills using examples like organizing projects for women and girls in Prison, IDP camps and PWDs. Joy said any project involving knives and needles cannot be done in the prison because warders don’t accept sharp objects in the prison.
We are to reconvene in two weeks when all inquiries by team members have been made to decide on the project to carry out.
In conclusion, Joy emphasised on the need to collaborate with other changemakers in our different projects as it makes the impact greater.
Meeting ended at 2:15pm as Olise moved for adjournment and Gloria seconded.
