My experience at the African Changemakers Fellowship -2018

January 22nd 2018 will always remain fresh in my memory! It was the day I began my first online/offline fellowship programme with the outstanding, amiable, and superb African Changemakers. Believe me! The 6 weeks programme was rigorous but highly rewarding. I will ever remain grateful that I took the decision to partake in the fellowship.

The course content was of global standard. Even when I had initially taken courses like project management, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, and mentorship, the fellowship came as an expansion of my scope of knowledge in these areas. Oh! I just remembered our discussion forum, which was characterized with insightful, timeless, and invaluable contributions, constructive criticisms, logical arguments, and intellectual discourses.

In fact, the AC fellows are just wonderful set of beings – what a powerful network to belong! And guess what? After the fellowship, every opportunity in African Changemakers is presented to Fellows first before the world gets to know it. Opportunities like AC mentor, AC community etc. What can I say about the AC Team? Their professional competence is just overwhelming: excellent communication skills, unbeatable interpersonal skills, and covetable social skills. In fact, the team lead, Topsie Olatilewa E. (I call her Senior Lady), beats my imagination! She is so brave! Her tolerance, patience, resilience, diligence, commitment, and sense of responsibility are just awesome and exceptional. I thank God for giving such a gift to this generation and may God bless the entire AC Team. To all prospective AC Fellows, I want to let you know that what awaits you at African Changemakers fellowship programme is an experience that will take you years to get over. Yes! I’m bold to say that because my initiative: Beyond Clazzroom, which before the fellowship, was in the idea stage, is now running with great momentum as a result of the energy the fellowship infused in me.
